Furthermore, for our own distribution we also develop and produce fully graphical display units as well as measuring and testing devices that are designed specifically for the use in development zones of automobile manufacture. Unicontrol Systemtechnik GmbH employs more than 40 people. In the course of our dynamic development and in order to further expand the division software development we are looking for a development engineer - Linux specialist.
Your main task will be in the field of embedded software development specifically for the automotive industry. Maintaining and developing modular software architectures and the coordination of software solutions with the responsible hard- and software developers will also belong to your tasks. You will be integrating and analyzing hard- and software components. Additionally, you will be creating software documentations and software specifications and you will also prepare and perform software trials.
The verification and identification of errors as well as the creation of detailled documentations will also be part of your tasks. Furthermore, you will analyze customer requirements in terms of feasibility and collaborate at the creation of calculations. Your contribution in prototype development is also in demand.
You have completed your degree in computer science, mathematics, information technology or electrical engineering. You have a very good knowledge of embedded-Linux-systems and are confident with IP-based networks.
You have already gained experience in embedded programming and have a profound knowledge of microcontroller programming with C and C++ and Linux-Shell-programming. You are skilled in the field of development/administration of SQL-databases and familiar with developmental processes of automotive manufacturers and their suppliers. You have several years of documented experience in software development, preferably in the automotive industry. Experience in software development for image processing is welcomed. You are familiar with CAN-tools like CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, and others. Knowledge in requirement engineering and requirement tools (e.g. DOORS) are an advantage. Ideally you are experienced with software process/quality methodology (e.g. Automotive SPICE®) and have an independent, solution-oriented and structured working method. You are flexible and customer oriented. Furthermore, you are a teamplayer and have a great sense of cost awareness and responsibility as well as a good knowledge of technical English.
Additionally you have a driver's license class B.
